Geothermal jets

The New Zealand Riverjet Thermal Safari combines the thrill of a jetboat ride on the Waikato River with a visit to the picturesque geothermal area, Orakei Korako. The ride passes trout fishing areas, pine forests, farmland, steaming river banks and unspoiled native bush, and features a commentary on the history of the area. Trips depart daily and bookings are essential. The Riverjet base is just off Highway 5 between Taupo and Rotorua.
