If you enjoyed G1, they say you'll love G2. It's The Gathering, held for the past five years to celebrate the New Year. Last New Year's Eve, G1 was at Golden Bay near Nelson and was attended by more than 15,000 people.
The Gathering, a monster 72-hour rave, is a festivalof freedom, dance, music and participation, and is strictly alcohol-free.
It will be held from December 31, 2001 to January 3, 2002, at Cobb Valley, Golden Bay, Takaka. You can hire taxis and flights from Nelson and Picton, and a bus service is available.
