Crowds are expected at Heritage Park this Sunday for the Whangarei Museum Live Day, when vintage cars, a vintage fire engine, a bullock team, steam and model trains roll out to bring the local history to life.
The family fun day gives access to Heritage Park's three attractions - the museum,the kiwi house and an old homestead - for $5 a person.
Children get in free and there is a nominal fee for riding the various historic vehicles. The event runs from 10am to 4pm.
