Wacky school-holiday entertainment conjures up a couple of witches next week.
A wicked witch, a giggling fairy, a friendly dragon and a beautiful princess are all part of Sleeping Beauty at the Bruce Mason Theatre in Takapuna from September 24 to 27.
Audience participation - "big voices, smiles and lots of
energy" - is recommended, whether you are 3 or 93. Shows are on at 10am and noon, tickets $8.

Another witch takes the stage just down the road from September 22 to 30. The Silly Sausage Company presents all Spike Milligan's favourite characters in Bad Jelly the Witch at the Pumphouse Theatre in Killarney Park. There are two shows each day, at 11am and 2pm, Sunday 2pm and 4pm. Tickets are $12 each or $40 for a family pass.
