Tokyo

Accommodation for two people to stay in Tokyo's Akasaka Yoko Hotel has been reduced to $159 a night until April 30 - timed to coincide with Japan's national celebration of its unofficial national flower, the cherry blossom.

The festival to celebrate the flower, known as Sakura, is always noisy, colourful and crowded, and begins in late March with events throughout the country as the cherry trees blossom.
