Twenty-six avid gardeners will throw open the gates to their Northland properties next month for the sixth annual Whangarei Garden Discovery.
Art and crafts, music and food will be part of the gardening festival, with the gardens divided into four trails - Waipu, Ruakaka, Mangapai and Maungatapere.
Twenty of the gardens featuredthis year are new to the itinerary.
The gardens will be open for three days - November 16, 17 and 18 - and a bus tour is available to avoid parking hassles.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Northland branch of the Child Cancer Foundation and the Leukemia Foundation.
