Country up north

The beautiful Bay of Islands goes a little bit country from May 7 to 9, with more than 60 top acts from New Zealand, Australia and the United States performing at the Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival.

The festival is in its 15th year, and has a reputation for good music and friendly vibes.

Performances will be held at nine different venues in Paihia, Waitangi and Haruru Falls, with a free shuttle bus available.

Admission is by badge, which costs $30 and can be bought at all venues, the Bay of Islands Information Centre in Paihia, or Wards Music Shop, Whangarei.
