Christmas cheer at Great Barrier Island

Santa is popping up all over the place, and on Saturday December 4, he'll be heading across the water for the Great Barrier Island Santa Parade.

Visitors are invited to soak up the friendly atmosphere and join the locals in this traditional event.

It's at the Claris Sports Club grounds, at noon.

Another traditional community Christmas event is Carols by Candlelight at the Three Kings reserve in Auckland on Sunday December 5, 7pm - 9.15pm.

Take your friends and family, and your best singing voice for a night of carol singing, featuring school and community performers.
