Block contestant shamed for breastfeeding on flight

A former contestant on The Block has taken to social media to share her frustration after she was shamed by another passenger for breastfeeding on a flight.

Bec Douros, a former contestant on The Block: Sky High and The Block: Triple Threat, posted an image of her young son Archie's hand up against the plane window on Instagram, as she described Monday's plane encounter.

The reality TV star said she was in an aisle seat and began to breastfeed Archie, when her seatmate objected.

Our first flight without Dad. We survived but only just. We were both wanting to escape about 10 minutes in when I realised I was sitting on an aisle seat. Oh well I started to breastfeed Archie. A big F#@% you to the lady sitting next to me who rolled her eyes at me and said I should have done that BEFORE I got on the flight. A massive thank you to the other lady who kindly swapped her window seat so I could finish feeding Archie. I should have told that old bag she left her reading glasses on her seat, but I thought to myself she really should have put them away BEFORE she rushed ahead of everyone to get off the flight #gladthatisover #goodluckfinishingyourbooktonight #normalisebreastfeeding

"A big F#@% you to the lady sitting next to me who rolled her eyes at me and said I should have done that before I got on the flight," she wrote.

However, luckily there were some kind people on-board, with another passenger swapping her window seat with Douros so that she could continue to feed Archie.

And then, in an ironic twist of fate - or perhaps karma - Douros got revenge without having to lift a finger.

The woman who had made the ignorant comment ended up leaving an item behind on the plane, and Douros didn't jump to tell her.
