Every year millions of people send Valentine's Day cards, red roses and gifts, all in celebration of the world-famous day of love. But for those looking to truly spoil their other half, an enchanting getaway for two could be the answer.

When considering the most romantic holiday destinations in the world, we all think of Paris or Venice. But when the world is your oyster, why not sweep your partner off to somewhere a little bit different?

So, take a look at our suggestions for the perfect, romantic break and get set to wow your partner like never before. From the spectacular buzz of Bangkok, to tropical island escapes in the Maldives, there is a trip to suit every kind of couple this February 14th.

Bangkok, Thailand

While Bangkok may not be the first destination that springs to mind for romantic getaways, the energetic and enticing capital of Thailand offers a lot more than full moon parties. The Grand Pearl Cruise is a must – the luxury river cruise and dining experience serves dinner under the moonlight to live music and traditional Thai dance. For something a little different, the Moon Bar offers an al fresco rooftop dining experience high above the city, boasting panoramic views of vibrant Bangkok.
