Auckland Highland Games

The Auckland Highland Games on November 20 features Scottish music, battle re-enactments, bagpipe competitions, tossing the caber, strongman events, haggis-hurling and Scottish dancing.

Highland cattle will be shown and collie dogs put through their paces. There will also be food, drink and craft stalls and an O'Hagan's beer tent.

For the children, there's face-painting and a bouncy castle. It's at Three Kings Reserve, corner Mt Eden Rd and Mt Albert Rd, 11am to 6pm. Admission free.
