For my money, though, Noosa Main Beach is unbeatable. There are great walks from the Noosa National Park car park to Little Cove Beach.
The best place for a swim on the Sunshine Coast is anywhere the swell is pumping. There are so many great beaches to choose from.
The area is famous for mining magnate Clive Palmer and his turning the upmarket Hyatt into a dinosaur park.
You cannot beat Morgans Seafood Restaurant at Scarborough, Moreton Bay for icecream. You can also catch a top seafood buffet there, all washed down with a nice sav blanc.
Another favourite is Scarborough Beach, where you can fire up a free barbie or have a picnic of fish 'n' chips overlooking the prawn boats.
If you're simply looking to kick back and hang out after the sun sets, go for the surf club at Noosa - it's a nice spot.
Alternatively, the sunrise at Noosa Main Beach is wonderful.
The great thing about the Sunshine Coast is that so much is free. And if you want to be pampered without breaking the budget, the best place is at the Sunshine Coast student massage clinic - $40 for two hours.
