The accent is placed on local craftsmanship and producers of clothing, hat making, jewellery, authors and artists, beauty to wellbeing, such as local yoga teacher Jeannette McCallum and a physiotherapist.
Waihi Beach Community garden volunteers will also sell their local seeds and plants.
2016 local Business award Katikati-based company Bee NZ will sell some local honey.
Young troubadour crew Troupe Waihi, which performed at the last Steampunk festival in Thames, will put on a show, along with other buskers.
Several organisations like Tauranga-based Greyhound Rescue will be present on the day.
The new rescue boat of Waihi Beach volunteer Coastguard will be on display and the organisation will sell some raffles on the day.
A "big success" last year for the 'plan before your party' summer campaign with the local police will be coming back.
"Kids had so much fun throwing sponges."
Children will also have a range of new entertainment available. Food will also be available in the premises.
And there's much more to see, Kelly said.
"I want to showcase locals and want this fair to be a reflection of our community. I would love people to come and see children getting creative, quality food and stalls and our big push on sustainability," she said.
Last year, Kelly said the event attracted a "huge amount of visitors".
"I was totally not expecting this so this year there is some pressure to maintain the level of enjoyment," she said.
Last year, the team recorded more than 600 people visiting during the first 10 minutes of the opening.
