"There's a wood chopping demonstration and with the bluegrass band Winsome Lost, the ambience of the fair will be a toe-tapping event."
She said celebrity chef Annabel White would join for the day, giving live cooking demonstration and judging the Pumpkin Pie Baking Contest.
Those who want a stall for the day should register at the Project Marton website.
She said with Marton considered the barley malting capital of New Zealand, the competition would be strong in the home-brew section. Marton is also home to Malteurop, New Zealand's largest malting plant.
"Harvest time is also scarecrow time," said Mrs Ash.
"So the local businesses, residents and organisations create a new scarecrow each year to help celebrate our rural connections.
"If you are local and haven't got your entry form yet, pick it up from the Project Marton office, or alternatively you can email to projectmarton@xtra.co.nz."
The Harvest Festival is also the place for pumpkins and "all their myriad varieties".
Pumpkins need to be at the venue by 10am to enter the competition.
Categories include biggest, best decorated and best pumpkin pie.
