The weather gods did just the right thing for Saturday's North Hokianga A&P show at Broadwood, delivering heavy rain a few days before followed by glorious sunshine.

"It was beautifully fine but the rain really made the day," show secretary Helen McCready said.

"The grounds were in very good condition, softened by the rain, and the competitors and public alike enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to next year.

"I would like to thank all our sponsors and our competitors, who travel near and far to be at our show. The support from the committee and community was tremendous," she added.
