Avocado Food and Wine Festival coming

Celebrity chef Jimmy Boswell cooked up a storm last year and will be back for the January 14 Avocado Food and Wine festival.

With the festive season bringing together friends and family it's a great time to include this summer's Katikati Avocado Food and Wine Festival on January 14, in your holiday plans.

In the spirit of the festive season the organisers are offering 100 tickets at $15 per head - that's a $5 discount to the gate ticket price.

In addition, each of these 100 tickets will go into a prize draw for a dozen bottles of wine.

This offer is limited to tickets purchased at Westpac-Katikati and the Katikati Information Centre (first 50 tickets sold at each). The winner will be announced on the day.

The festival represents an opportunity to have a relaxing day out with family and friends.

Under-18s are free to enter when accompanied by a parent.

Celebrity chefs Peter Blakeway and Jimmy Boswell will be cooking up a storm, the entertainment line-up is simply superb and there's a fun-filled Kidzone - all included in the entry ticket price.

And of course there is plenty of opportunity to sample good food, wine and other beverages.
