Lyn Mackie of Arts Inc Heretaunga says it's going to be a spectacular day "full of fun".
"The Rezpect Dance Crew will also be giving a performance at the prizegiving in Civic Square and will be in the parade as well."
Although all eyes will be on the floats, organisers have something extra special to entertain youngsters.
Characters from well-known animated series PAW Patrol will make an appearance during the event.
"Marshall, Chase, Everest, Rubble, Zuma and Rocky will be making an appearance.
"We also have Donald Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig, Cookie Monster and a green Ninja Turtle."
During the past few weeks, a series of workshops have been hosted during the preparation of the parade. They were held by international artist and community educator Ally Rogers.
Participants attend single workshops on each topic that holds their interest. They included Giant Puppet Basics, Wonderful Wings, Gorgeous Headwear and Cardboard Chaos.
Hastings district councillor Wendy Schollum is looking forward to the parade and encouraging people to attend.
"This event is a highlight of the year for me and my kids, aged 5 and 9.
"I grew up going to the blossom parades and it's great to be able to pass that tradition on to the younger generation."
The Blossom Parade will start on Warren St on Saturday, September 15 at 11am.
