Coastguard: the other day I got a nice email from Pam Russell: "I have developed an unofficial website for Auckland Coastguard. It is packed with loads of information for the recreational boatie and is kept up to date on a weekly basis. I am the Administration Manager for the organisation so have an intimate knowledge of what goes on and what the boatie may want to access from the 'net'. I recently received a 'Distinguished Site' award from military.com for the site. If you have the time, you may like to take a look." I have, I did, and I thought it was cool.
The Lovefund: and speaking of nice things, follow along to this delightful website and click on a cute little toon called Roli. Each time you do, he promises that various sponsors will donate 1 to African kids. Sounds too good to be true, but I hear this one's for real and the site is 100% transparent - you can see who the sponsors are, how many clicks have been received and where the donations are going.
