Telstra cleared on pricing

Australian telecommunications company Telstra has welcomed an Australian Competition and Consumer Commission decision to revoke a competition notice issued nearly a year ago over broadband prices.

Telstra acknowledged that retail price changes last February had adversely affected wholesale customers.

But it maintains its conduct was lawful and, if anything, had increased the level of competition in the market.
