Save A Telstra Clear customer has been given a final enforcement notice after allegedly downloading music illegally.
The internet service provider says the Recording Industry Association instructed the company to send the notice.
Telstra Clear spokesman Gary Bowering says it's the first time the company has had to send a final
notice to someone accused of internet piracy.
The customer could be brought before the Copyright Tribunal and fined up to $15,000 for breaching the Copyright Amendment Act.
They have until Thursday week to dispute the allegation.
