Google Maps: Turn NZ streets into Pac-Man

Google's April Fool's Day treat is a throwback to an arcade classic - Pac-Man.

An Easter egg in Google Maps allows you to play the Atari game on your city's streets.

To start playing your own custom game, head over to Google Maps, type in your preferred location and click on the Pac Man button on the lower left corner of your screen and Google will transform the streets into Pac Man.

Use your keyboard arrow keys to control Pac-Man and evade the ghosts as you rack up points.

Some neighbourhoods aren't compatible - we found that Wellington city centre didn't work - so you have to test out locations.
