Burglars tracked using ICQ

Ex-pat Kiwi Tony Jones has discovered a new use for ICQ messaging software - finding stolen computers. A friend's daughter in Brisbane had her PC stolen and, armed with the ICQ identification number, he set to work with a tracker program. A trace of the internet protocol address was passed on to the Brisbane police and a week later, the PC was returned.
