"Reaching $6 billion in depositors' funds recently has been a great growth milestone for the bank. Giving back to the communities throughout New Zealand and thanking our customers for their support was important to us.
And as a New Zealand owned bank, native trees, which represent the growth and strength of our organisation were a great choice,"says Kevin Murphy, chief executive TSB Bank.
¦More than 250 trees have been donated to communities throughout New Zealand as part of the one-off tree donation initiative, including supporting the re-greening of the Christchurch Port Hills, Taranaki Retreat, King Edward Park (Stratford), Inglewood Golf Club, Trees for Survival (Auckland), Motutapu Trust (Auckland), Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust (Tauranga), Karituwhenua Stream Walkway (Hawkes Bay), Te Awa School (Hawkes Bay), St John Bosco School (New Plymouth), Opunake Primary School and Eastwoodhill National Arboretum (Hawke's Bay).
