'Words with the Birds', a trio comprising NPGHS students Samantha Nicholas, Cambel McGregor-Fernee and Kimberley Fenton, will entertain at the 'Music Through the War Years' concert in Stratford TET Kings Theatre on June 13 and 14.
The three are using their singing talents to raise money to fund international leadership trips they will attend this year. Their close harmonies and choice of songs made famous by the Andrews sisters will be sure to delight audiences.
The programme will feature the 'swinging' Great Taranaki Steam Band with classics like Chattanooga Choo Choo and American Patrol; and the harmonies of bass, tenor, alto and soprano voices of Stratford Singers as they perform songs from WW1 such as Keep the Home Fires Burning, to the 1930s Smoke Gets In your Eyes.
Tickets for the shows are available from Stratford Information Centre and door sales will be available.
