Sun shines on annual garden fair

Shayde Hanover (5) from New Plymouth had her facepainted by the talented team at Morph Facepainting.

The sun came out on Saturday in time for the annual Tūpare garden fair with crowds flocking to the popular gardens to enjoy live music, market stalls, family entertainment and guided walks as well as plenty of delicious food. Stratford Press managing editor ILONA HANNE went along to photograph some of the fun.

Braith Webb (2) of Stratford enjoyed a ride on Comet. He was accompanied by his uncle, Zane Schoemaker (14).

Melanie Graham of Bushel & Peck was selling delicious home baked goods on the day. Melanie bakes from home, selling her products at fairs and markets around Taranaki.

Hayley Webb (7) enjoyed a ride on Prickles, led by Christine Evans and Clare Coatsworth (5).

Emma Barrett, a member of the Taranaki Circus Collective, entertained the crowds with a hula hoop display.
