Give and you shall receive, so the saying goes and that has certainly been the case for the team at the Stratford office of McDonald Real Estate.
Their strong company philosophy of giving back which sees them volunteer their time to charitable groups as well as supporting local clubs andinitiatives, led to them being presented with the Outstanding Office Award at the biennial Taranaki McDonald Real Estate Awards. This award recognises a number of qualities including profitability, customer care and community service, says Daniel McDonald, general manager of McDonald Real Estate.
"Within the Stratford office we have agents involved in 23 different trusts and organisations, which is an outstanding effort," says Daniel. He adds the Stratford office also contributed to more than 40 sports clubs and organisations over the past two years.
"As a company we are always looking at ways to become more engaged with the community and it is great to see the Stratford team leading the charge with their local community."
While the Stratford office took home the outstanding office award, it was Inglewood based Linda McIntyre who was named Overall Top Agent.
Shelley Wilkin of Inglewood, Viv Scott of Eltham / Opunake and Wayne Burnnand of Stratford were named High Achievers, and the Best Rental Award went to Oakura based Robyn McDonald. Rookie of the Year was also a New Plymouth agent, Thomas Watt. Stratford-based Sam Swinburne received the Company Customer Care award for a second time. This award is presented to the agent with the best feedback from clients, vendors and buyers, and Daniel says it is impressive to have Sam win the award again.
It shows he is consistently dedicated to his clients and continues to always give his best.
Daniel says all agents are to be praised for their efforts and it was a delight to recognise the top achievers.
"The company awards are always a great way to recognise the outstanding effort of our agents and all the good work they do."
Daniel says McDonald Real Estate is constantly looking at ways to help upskill their agents to ensure their clients are receiving the best service possible.
