CHRISTMAS PARADE

WINNER: The Polar Express train, made by Amourshield Ltd, won the hearts of the judges at the Stratford Christmas Parade on Sunday. The float was complete with a train conductor and pyjama clad children.

SECOND PLACE: Some beautifully handcrafted masks made by the children of Dynamite Bay earned them second place for their festive float.

TRADITIONAL STORYBOOK: 'Twas the night before Christmas' was the theme for the Taranaki Pioneer Village float. A traditional storybook theme which earned them third place at the parade.

MEET THE MUPPETS: Stratford Primary School's Muppet themed float stole the show on Sunday, and scooped them the Youth Council Best School award.
