At assembly last Friday, students who achieved at an exceptionally high level in the 2006 NCEA exams were acknowledged. Each of the students above achieved over 160 credits with at least 10 excellences.
Ms Rawston, Principal, said that the level of achievement of these students reflected not only their ability but
also their commitment to achieving and learning. Each of them acted as great role models of being 'successful learners', one of the visions that the school has for each of its students.
Last week the swimming sports were one of the highlights of the week, with nearly all students participating. Like the athletic sports, this is always a very colourful event. Year 10 also attended a 'beach day' at Opunake. During the course of the day they learnt all manner of ways to keep themselves safe at the beach.
