Megan Dimock is appealing to the Stratford community for sponsors as she puts on her bike shoes in training for the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
On November 16 and 17 the charity bike ride will be taking place for the first time in New Zealand.
The 200km course through Auckland
is completed over two days and all participants have to have raised a minimum $2500 to be involved.
Megan admits she was apprehensive about the idea at first.
"Without dad's idea to get involved, I wouldn't have thought of it. I don't really have the time or motivation to go and cycle 200km for fun, but for a good cause I will give my all."
