While only one Gibb brother might be alive in 2021, there's no question that their music lives on, a fact clearly apparent when Showtime Australia's TheBee Gees Night Fever show came to town last week.
From the moment the cast stepped on stage, the audience were treated to a beautifully melodic and pitch-perfect trip down memory lane.
There were plenty of high notes during the show, with South African Warren Vernon-Driscoll bringing Robin Gibb's famous falsetto back to life, truly deserving the rapturous applause from the audience each time.
Warren and his co-stars, Zac Coombs (Barry) and André Behnke (Maurice), were all fantastic as they replicated the Bee Gees' famous three-part harmonies live on stage, with the backing of a full band and theatrical lighting.
Thanks to an excellent wardrobe department, they looked the part as much as they sounded it, and the audience lapped it up. While social distancing rules in these Covid times meant people couldn't quite dance in the aisles, many in the audience were happy to get on their feet and dance in their seats, singing along to a brilliant playlist of all the Bee Gees' greatest hits.
All three performers were perfectly cast, as was the backing band, with Rusty Red a clear crowd favourite on the night.
Showtime Australia's The Bee Gees Night Fever has ensured the music truly lives on, and the magical melodies made famous by Barry, Maurice and Robin will continue to be a delight to listen to. It's not a case of 'you should be dancing', but rather you will be dancing, from start to finish of this fantastic tribute show.
