On Tuesday, September 1 police were called to a sudden death on Cardiff Road. The deceased was a 61-year-old male from Stratford. Police have identified that there were no suspicious circumstances and the body has been released to the coroner. Senior Sergeant Robbie O'Keefe says neighbours hadn't seen the deceased in over a week and urges residents to keep an eye out for your neighbours. "If you haven't seen or heard from them over an extended period of time make sure you have a system in place so that you can contact them, their family or even call the local police."
On the same date, a 39-year-old male from Eltham was arrested for male assaults female and cultivation of cannabis, he was due to appear in Hawera District Court yesterday.
A 18-year-old male from Stratford was arrested on Thursday, September 3 after he was caught doing 'burn outs'. His vehicle was impounded and he was due to appear in Hawera District Court yesterday.
On Friday, September 4 a 29-year-old male from Eltham was arrested for breaching bail conditions.
On Sunday, September 6 police were called to a domestic dispute in Eltham. Both parties have been refereed to relevant agencies.
