Stratford's King Edward Park was one of the areas searched by police last Friday morning following two armed robberies in Hawera.
Stratford police together with a New Plymouth unit caught a 42-year-old woman in Midhirst allegedly driving the getaway vehicle. The silver car was seen south of Stratford and then
"disappeared" before later being seen in Midhirst. Police say it was reported she had dropped off a man in Stratford.
A "light-coloured" male who allegedly tried to rob the Sunshine Dairy at knifepoint, and then took a "small amount of cash" at Nolantown Dairy, is still at large.
The woman was charged with being an accessory after the fact to aggravated robbery, unlawful car conversion, possession of class B drugs and utensils.
