Norfolk welcoming

"Norfolk School is the perfect school for me. I am so happy to be here," says Andrew Georgeson, Norfolk School's new principal.

Andrew joined the team at Norfolk School at the beginning of term three, and says he couldn't have had a warmer welcome.

"The school and whole community have been very welcoming and helpful. It has been a very easy transition."

Andrew says having grown up with a rural background, Norfolk School is the perfect fit. Being a first time principal, Andrew says the school is also an ideal sized school to be a part of.

Andrew previously worked at Bell Block School where he was the associate principal.

"Becoming a principal has been a goal with my professional development for a number of years and I had great mentoring from my previous principal."

Andrew says it has been a smooth transition into Norfolk School.

"Because the school functions so well thanks to the wonderful teaching and support staff".

Andrew also praises the school's Board of Trustees and Home and School committee.

"Both groups do a lot for the school and have been very welcoming and supportive of me."

While the students have also welcomed Andrew, he says he is eager to meet more of the school's parents.

"I am close to knowing all the students names and it would be great to know all their parents just as well."

Andrew says if anyone from the community see him, he encourages them to say hello.

"I am very proud of this school and this community. I am eager to meet new people and share ideas on how we can grow as a school."
