The Stratford District Youth Council has a fresh look with new faces after the elections held on August 4.
New chairperson Kate-Lyn Edser says she is excited about taking on the new role and aims to inspire fellow councillors, "to be the best youth council we can possibly be".
Kate-Lyn has been on the council for several years now and says she thinks it will be her experience that will see her become an effective leader and mentor to some of the newer faces on the council.
Long standing council member Storm Savage was elected as the new deputy chairperson. "I have been a part of the public relations team in the past so I am looking forward to taking on a new role and being a leader."
Votes were also cast on the night to elect other roles such as secretary, treasurer and two public relations officers.
