Mad Butcher helps with fundraiser

Stratford High School's Netball Touring Team are hosting an evening with Sir Peter Leitch 'The Mad Butcher' on June 6 as a fundraiser for their upcoming Gold Coast Tour.

Denise Kay, netball co-ordinator at Stratford High School, says the team is excited that the influential speaker agreed to help them with their fundraising.

"It was a long shot getting in touch with him, but he said he is more than happy to help out for a good cause."

The famed Mad Butcher will be speaking about his life experiences and his book 'What A Ride Mate!'.

Denise says the show is for audiences 16 years and over due to Peter's "colourful language".

"He has led a very interesting life and I have heard fantastic reviews so we are all looking forward to meeting him."

The netball team will also be holding an auction of donated goods during the evening which includes a signed 2014 Silver Ferns netball, a signed Vodafone Warriors ball and various prizes donated by local businesses.

Sir Peter Leitch will be speaking at the Stratford High School hall on Saturday, June 6. Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost $30 per person.

A light supper will be provided and beverages will be available to purchase with EFTPOS available. Taxi's can be arranged.
