The first day of school at Inglewood Primary got off to a "super start" as staff dressed up as super heroes for the day to celebrate the start of their first inquiry unit UPS@IPS (unique and promising student/ staff at Inglewood Primary School).
The school has moved to a new structure of three whanau groups which are yet to be named by the students. This is based on further developing the Tuakana Teina concept of older teaching/modeling to the younger, which will build on the strong student leadership programme already in action.
As well as 27 new students, seven new staff members were also welcomed with a powhiri led by the kapahaka group and whaea Marcelle Messenger.
