Explore creativity at tile workshop

Are you keen to get creative and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty?

Dale Yarwood and Jillian Kalin say their mosaic tile art workshops are a fun way to explore your creative side, while making something long-lasting and unique.

The workshops are open to artists of every level, and Dale says mosaic art is a fun and creative hobby that is great for beginners as well as those who are experienced at the craft.

Dale, co-ordinator of the classes, says she and Jillian, the artist and tutor, decided to begin teaching classes in mosaic art "as there was nothing like this around already".

The night classes are great because even those with a busy work schedule can take a few hours to enjoy themselves, meet new people and enjoy some wine and cheese all while creating pieces of art

Dale says the evening classes mean people with work commitments aren't excluded.

There are two kinds of workshops available to sign up for, a Tuesday evening class from 7pm-9pm that runs for 4 weeks or a "crash course" on a Sunday for 4 hours.

"We will start the next cycle of classes as soon as there is enough interest," says Dale, adding the pair have already run several successful workshops.

At a cost of $110 plus materials, Dale says she thinks mosaic art is not an expensive hobby to enjoy.
