Grant Boyde and Adrian Lobb are two of nine Taranaki masters grade hockey players selected to represent New Zealand in the Trans-Tasman Challenge hockey tournament in Melbourne in May.
The Stratford players have both played in the tournament before and are looking forward to taking on their Australian rivals again.
"The games between New Zealand and Australia are always very tight, they took home the win last time but we are looking to settle the score," Grant says.
"The tournament is a great fun," Adrian agreed. "The intensity of the games is a real step up from our regular games so it gives us a good challenge".
The teams were put together by selectors watching the games at the national masters tournament held in Napier earlier this month.
