The Great New Zealand Craft Show is NZ's longest running craft show and is gearing up for New Plymouth Queen's Birthday Weekend as the first stop on its nationwide tour.
For 31 years the Great NZ Craft show has travelled New Zealand as the 'Dunkley's Great NZ Craft Show'. It is now under new ownership, with new owners Great NZ Events collaborating with Go Bake to extend the range of crafts on offer at the show. Visitors can explore a range of crafts, from papercraft to fudge, soap to dolls, furniture to knitted goods, there is something for everyone.
The Cake and Craft Show values the Dunkley's past by drawing on the amazing craftspeople who the show has supported for three decades and going back into the communities who have appreciated local handmade wares for just as long.
The Cake and Craft Show is more than a place to buy amazing gifts though, it is also a place to learn about craft and get involved in the action for yourself.
More exciting elements are the workshops and demonstrations being held during the weekend. The Craft Queen is making an appearance at the show on Queen's Birthday Monday to teach people how to recycle old plastic bags into futuristic works of art that the kids will love - her involvement with World Of Wearable Art pays testament to her level of skill.
