Two Stratford Community Patrol volunteers were were presented with Certificates of Appreciation by mayor Neil Volzke at a Community Patrol Training Meeting on Monday night.
The certificates were in recognition of the apprehension of an offender, who was arrested and charged by Stratford Police as a result of patroller observations.
Stratford Community Patrol volunteers give their own time to patrol Stratford on Friday and Saturday nights.
The patrol acts as extra eyes and ears for the Stratford police from whom they get excellent support.
If you would like to join the group please contact Dalwyn Smart Co-ordinator of Stratford Community Patrol at the Stratford Police Station, (06) 765 8863.
