The Toko and Districts Lion Club will hold its annual fundraising Chateau to Plateau motorcycle run on Sunday, January 25.
The run starts at Chateau Tongariro and follows Highway 43 (The Forgotten World Highway) to Stratford and then to the plateau at Mt Taranaki / Egmont, taking in places of historical interest along the way.
Riders and their pillion passengers stop at Whangamomona for lunch and to stretch their legs and enjoy the fellowship of other riders.
The final destination is Stratford Memorial Hall where prize giving takes place.
Now in its eighth year, the event raises funds for the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust.
