Charity fundraiser to aid flooded farmers

The New Commercial Hotel are hosting a fundraiser this weekend in aid of the farmers affected by the devastating floods in Eastern Taranaki.

Jude Dix and Ian Hayward, owner operators of the New Commercial Hotel, are hosting an afternoon of entertainment and auctions to raise money for the flood affected farmers.

We knew something needed to be done and we want our people to know their community is behind them.

Raybern Entertainment have organised a group of artists to perform throughout the afternoon and special guest Morris West's alter ego 'Mrs Brown' will be in attendence.

Entry on the day is a donation of canned food, which will be put together in food parcels.

Jude and the team at New Commercial Hotel will also be preparing a 'Kai Cooker' hangi for dinner at $12 per plate.

"We know that this won't fix the problem we just want to be able to help," says Jude.
