Six people are injured, one critically,following a two-car crash in Stratford this morning.
A police spokesperson said the accident occurred at about 7.10am on SH3, just after the intersection with Warwick Road.
A St John spokesperson said four ambulances attended the scene along with the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter. One personwas then airlifted to Wellington Hospital in a critical condition.
Another five people were transported to Taranaki Base Hospital, with one person suffering serious injuries and the other four categorised as moderate.
A detour is still in place while the serious crash unit investigate.
