Taranaki Diocesan has announced its head students for 2019.
The Head Girl is Claudia Taylor and the Deputy Head Girl is Alexandra Paish.

In 2018 Claudia gained her NCEA Level 2 with a Merit endorsement before external examinations, with an Excellence subject endorsement in Physical Education.

Claudia is unsure of what career she is going to pursue but she would like to do something where she can help people and encourage them to be the best they can be. This year she will be studying Biology, Business Studies, English, Mathematics and Physical Education.

In 2018 Alex gained NCEA Level 2 with an Excellence endorsement, as well as Excellence subject endorsements in Photography and Business, and Merit endorsements in English and Chemistry.


Alex plans to attend Victoria University in Wellington where she will study for a career in psychology and marketing. This year she will be studying Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, English and Mathematics. She is also looking at a gap year before or after university.

The girls have said their theme for the year is to make a difference every day.

"This is something that we plan to carry out, no matter how big or small that difference is. We hope to encourage and inspire students to make a difference to not only their own lives but to the lives of others as well."
