The new toilets on Broadway now feature locally designed artwork on the outside wall panels.
In August this year, Stratford District Council in conjunction with the Percy Thomson Gallery held a competition looking for artwork to feature on the toilet walls. The design brief was simple; to be in keeping with the Tudor Shakespearian style of the area and to reflect Stratford's many attractions.
The council's director of assets, Sven Hanne, says judges were thrilled with the standard of work. "Choosing the two winning pieces was no easy task, but they stood out."
The winning artists are William Bennett and Joni Smith, both well known in the local art world.
The artworks were put in place over the weekend by Abstract Signs.
