The Stratford and District Scottish Society has had a revival in the number of young people wanting to learn the bagpipes and drums in the last 12 months.
This time last year the band had two pipers. Now on band night there are regularly nine pipers and one bass drummer, along with 17 young people learning the chanter and six learning the drums.
This revival happened after two pipers and a drummer visited two local school assemblies to show what they do.
The society is hoping to get funding in order to cater for the increase in musicians, enabling them all to have bagpipes to play as well as drums.
Joyce Orr, secretary of the Scottish Society, says "the Pipe Band is very important to our community".
