He finished five points behind Dutchman Steven Le Fevre and 16 points behind the winner, Great Britain's Paul Goodison. He now heads to the world championships in Korea which start on September 10.
For Auckland's Aleh it is her best result of the season.
In the 11 races she sailed in Qingdao her best results were a first, three thirds and a fourth in the fleet of 34. "I am definitely very happy," she said.
"It's also my best regatta result of the season, so it's nice to end it like this, as this is the last big regatta of year for me.
"It's been great to come here and see what the Olympic venue will be like and a good regatta for working on a few last things before heading home."
Also making the top 10 in their fleet were Dan Slater in the Finn and Tom Ashley in the Men's RS:X. Slater finished eighth and Ashley ninth.
The Finn class was dominated by Emirates Team New Zealand helmsman Ben Ainslie of Britain.
