Yachting: Sanderson just in front

Mike Sanderson's ABN Amro One held a narrow lead of 16 nautical miles over their second yacht ABN Amro Two last night in the second leg of the round-the-world race from Cape Town to Melbourne.

Sanderson's team were 1251 nautical miles from the finish and had picked up a further 3.5 points after passing the second scoring gate at Eclipse Island in first place.

Spanish entry movistar were third and Pirates of the Caribbean were fourth. The leaders are expected in Melbourne on Friday.
