British single-handed yachting star Shirley Robertson has been named World Sailor of the Year at the International Sailing Federation conference in Edinburgh.
She won an Olympic gold in the Europe class, a silver at the Europe Worlds and a bronze at the 1999 ISAF women's match-racing worlds.
