New Zealand sailors Hamish Pepper and Carl Williams have maintained their lead in the Star class world championship going into tomorrow's final race off San Francisco.
In today's fifth race, Pepper and Williams rounded the first mark in 12th spot but fought back over the remaining three legs to finish
fifth.
The result gave them a seven-point margin over the rest of the rest of the star-studded 66-strong keelboat fleet.
The other New Zealand crew in the regatta, Rohan Lord and Miles Addy, dropped from second to fifth overall after a 46th placing.
